The department of Physical Therapy in the College of Natural, Behavioral, and Health Sciences (CNBHS) invites applications for a 12-month, Director of Clinical Education position within the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.

We seek innovative educators, researchers, scholars, and practitioners with a demonstrated excellence in teaching, creative curriculum development, active research agenda, and a commitment to advancing the strong national stature, ranking, and impact of Simmons' Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Responsibilities include coordinating and evaluating the clinical education component of the curriculum, teaching assigned courses, advising students, developing and maintaining a strong record of research and scholarly productivity, participation in curriculum development, as well as service on departmental college and university committees as appropriate.

Minimum qualifications include:
  • 3 years of clinical physical therapy practice with experience as a CCCE or CI, or 35 years of college teaching experience in an area of clinical or research expertise;
  • Ongoing scholarly activity that includes research and publications.

In addition, Simmons faculty members have access to the Longwood Healthcare community consisting of nationally ranked hospitals and the Harvard Schools of Medicine, Dentistry and Public Health.
