The University of Notre Dame (ND.jobs) is accepting applications for a Customer IT Solutions (Summer Internships).

The Office of Information Technologies (OIT) serves as the Notre Dame community's trusted partner for effective information technology solutions to advance the University's mission and goals. The Customer IT Solutions group within the OIT seeks candidates for its Summer 2018 Internship program.
If your coursework and extracurricular interests are leading you to a career in Information Technology, and if you also communicate well, work hard and act professionally, this internship is for you.
Based on your abilities, background and interests, we will customize your internship in one or more of the following areas:
Application Development

  • Creating and supporting services coded in various programming languages including Oracle-PL/SQL, Ruby on Rails, ColdFusion, HTML


System Integration

  • Writing interfaces for SQL Server and Oracle databases


Enterprise Solution Enhancement and Support

  • Building/enhancing solutions provided via Google, Qualtrics and other enterprise tools.


IT Security Compliance Monitoring

  • Department & User application and device support


Project Support

  • Project management, business analysis and quality assurance.

  • Meeting with various customers around campus to understand their business needs and develop IT solutions/recommendations to support their needs.


Opportunities may also exist to assist in the migration of services or operational systems to the cloud (e.g. Amazon Web Services).
The Customer IT Solutions group provides:

  • Application solutions to address the business requirements and opportunities of its customers.



  • Support for the localized application of information technology, serving area-specific and institution-wide needs by consistently providing high-quality professional IT support.



  • Services for business analysis, quality assurance, application architecture, DevOps, technology standards and coordination,

    technical documentation, user/department level support, business Intelligence, IT security compliance and document management.



Minimum Qualifications:
In pursuit of 4 year degree. Course curricula history of IT pertinent study. Strong desire to gain experience applicable to a career in I.T.
