Our fast-growing division of Human Resources, Diversity and Inclusion, driven to be the standard of excellence, seeks a Manager of Compensation Services responsible for overseeing a compensation strategy that is market competitive; successful in retaining and motivating a highly skilled, diverse workforce; and vital to driving and incenting innovation commitment, engagement and overall organizational performance. The manager will provide leadership to the University's compensation team philosophy, strategy, design and implementation. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, collaborative and inclusive leader who demonstrates the highest standards of integrity, accountability and operational excellence.

The Compensation Services Manager oversees the daily operations of the program area; conducts research; prepares specialized reports and plans, etc.; drafts guidelines and procedures; recommends appropriate salary programs within system guidelines; reviews actions of others for compliance with policies, performs administrative procedures; identifies problems and consults with employees, supervisors, managers, and administrators to ensure conformity to campus policy; identifies issues and formulates solutions across organizational boundaries to ensure compliance policies; provides expert guidance and assistance to employees, supervisors, managers, and administrators; serves on and/or chairs committees in HRDI and the campus community. Participates in the development of project improvement initiatives within the Division of Human Resources Diversity and Inclusion is expected from this position.

Participates in the system wide and other annual salary surveys. Manages the MPP Merit process. The position will be the campus content expert in regards to compensation matters within all staff collective bargaining agreements. Provides solutions to a wide range of difficult compensation and HR related issues. Other duties as assigned.










Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience will be considered if in areas of compensation administration and with five (5) to eight (8) years of professional human resources experience which provided the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position in an organization with over 3000 employees. Must be proficient in the use of Excel spreadsheets. Must be proficient in written and oral communications. Must have proven experience in teaching small groups of adults as well as one on one effective communication skills. Experience in significant and continuous use of positive customer service. Must have proven experience in the areas of compensation administration including use of classification systems, conducting surveys and good mathematical skills.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU.
