Job Description:
The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for providing technology support to College departments. Support may include business process design, troubleshooting, training, documentation, and software development. The Analyst also seeks innovative solutions to improve College operational efficiency and/or improve the student experience; solutions may be purchased or developed in house.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Participates in all phases of the software development process including analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, maintenance, and support for mission-critical business applications, including Ellucian Banner products and associated applications.
Creates and maintains user, technical, and operational documentation that describes program source, logic and corrections or changes.
Provides technical expertise to support business needs to functional staff on appropriate use of programs and systems.
Resolves functional users' questions and problems, elevates issues to vendor support or other IT staff as needed.
Participates on college-wide committees where technical representation is required; helps formulate policy decisions, conduct strategic planning, and make purchasing recommendations.
Actively participates in collaborative activities at the college and with peer institutions.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in computer science, MIS or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years' programming experience for ERP systems and associated applications with proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.
Experience with RDBMS application development, including tables, packages, stored procedures, triggers, and views, preferably using Oracle.
Must possess strong analytical skills.
Ability to work independently when performing analytical and programming tasks such as designing, coding, documenting, and troubleshooting software.
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, multi-task and work effectively with other members of the technical team(s).
Strong communication skills, both written and oral, to communicate appropriately and effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.
Must be willing to learn and try new tools and approaches, take risks, and stay current in application software knowledge.
Must be self-directed, highly motivated, with a strong work ethic and customer service approach.

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience with Ellucian's Banner application highly preferred.
Knowledge and experience with Evisions' products preferred, particularly Argos and FormFusion.
Experience with Pro*C, Cobol, HTML, UNIX Shell Programming, Java and Groovy desired.

Non Unit Professional, full-time state funded with benefits.
Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Salary: 61,418.00 - $76,773.00
