Job Description

The Associate Director, Sales and Events reports to the Director of Event Management and will be responsible for managing all internal and external sales related to University events on campus, and at the Connors Center. In conjunction with the Director, will determine and develop internal and external marketing and advertising strategies with the goal of increasing overall event revenue for the university.

Proactively solicit new business from internal and external sources; evaluate market trends; create partnerships with local and regional organizations to further increase visibility of University facilities; and ensure that the branding and messaging on all marketing and sales initiatives is consistent with University policies.

This position will also execute and support the operational aspects of business booked including generating proposals, writing contracts, determining event staff and support requirements, and managing all client correspondence. In the absence of the Director, will represent the Event Management Office at departmental meetings related to the execution of specific scheduled events.



Requirements

Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelor's Degree (preferably with a concentration in marketing or hospitality). Master's degree, preferred; and a minimum of five years of sales experience related to the hospitality industry.

Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $76,250 to $95,300; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
