Job Description
The Assistant Director for the Sophomore Area is a 12-month, live-off, full-time professional staff member, responsible for six residential communities. The Assistant Director oversees all educational, social, and operational activities, provides support services directly to Sophomore students, and adjudicates student discipline cases for the Sophomore Area. The Assistant Director supervises all Resident Directors and Resident Assistants in the Sophomore housing areas.
The Assistant Director supervises assists in the coordination of opening and closing in three Sophomore communities; participates in the operation of living-learning programs including programming development; and serves as a Senior Administrator On Call for crisis and emergency situations involving students living on- and off-campus.
The Assistant Director directly supervises three Sophomore Resident Directors, three Graduate Assistants, and 46 Resident Assistants.
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $55,600 to $69,500; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred
Minimum of three years prior full-time residence hall experience
Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion
