Job Description

Assist at an ACC, NCAA Division I cross country and track & field program. Not a lead coaching position. All assistant coaching responsibilities in both cross country and track & field will be as directed by the head coach. Primary duties include, but are not limited to; coordination of recruiting activities, administration of workouts as directed by head coach and general administrative tasks such as expense reports, recruiting database, Jump Forward, NCAA compliance logs and forms, etc. Will also assist with administrative duties in the areas of admissions, academic monitoring, community service, media relations, alumni affairs and other areas as assigned by the head coach. Must be committed to the academic and athletic development of all student athletes. Must adhere to all University, ACC and NCAA policies and procedures. Candidates must be available for 12-3pm and 6-7pm practice times plus office hours as assigned. Weekend availability for competition, recruiting and other job related tasks, is a requirement of the position.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree is required. Master's degree preferred. Experience at an NCAA Division I cross country and track & field program preferred. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills and have the ability to work effectively with college student-athletes, athletic and university staff and personnel and alumni. Knowledge of basic NCAA rules is required. Strong office and computer skills required.
