In collaboration with our many regional partners, we offer our students an experiential learning environment graced with outstanding teaching scholars in bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs. The Chattanooga Mocs are a Division I Athletics Program which consists of approximately 300 student-athletes. We are a member of the Southern Conference.

Position Description:
The Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Promotions is a full-time, twelve-month position with benefits overseeing all aspects of marketing and promotions for the Chattanooga Mocs Athletics Department. This position reports to the Senior Associate AD for External Operations and is a member of the External Operations team with duties that include, but are not limited to:

  • Daily oversight for all areas of marketing and promotions
  • Develop and execute annual marketing plans for all assigned sports/events
  • Create and implement marketing strategies to help increase attendance and revenue for UTC Athletics, as well as enhance the fan experience and gameday atmosphere for home contests
  • Develop event scripts for home contests, and assist with various gameday functions for assigned sports
  • Increase engagement with both the campus and community in an effort to grow support
  • Coordinate all advertising and media buys, along with print and digital collateral design (posters, schedule cards, etc.)
  • Oversight of the Scrappy's Kids Club, the official kids club of the Chattanooga Mocs
  • Assist with the fulfillment of sold inventory by Mocs Sports Properties, the 3rd Party Multimedia Rights Holder for UTC Athletics
  • Design and implement all marketing activities for the Southern Conference and NCAA Championship events hosted by UTC
  • Other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree Required; Master's Degree preferred
  • Must have a minimum of 2-years' experience in the areas of marketing, promotions and/or public relations; Experience in the collegiate environment is preferred
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with external and internal constituencies and provide excellent customer service
  • Must possess strong communications skills, both oral and written
  • Experience working with Adobe Creative software (I.e. PhotoShop, Illlustrator, InDesign, etc.)
  • Must have working knowledge of MS software (I.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Southern Conference and NCAA rules and regulations preferred
