Job Description:

The Business Administration Department at Bunker Hill Community College is a collegial, student-centered learning community dedicated to providing an innovative, creative, and relevant education in business disciplines to a diverse student population. We strive to maximize student success by placing graduates in a competitive position when seeking employment in a business environment or upon transfer to a four-year academic institution, ultimately empowering them to compete responsibly and successfully in today's global business environment.



FIN-106-02 Intro to Corporate Finance (Tues/Thurs 4:00-5:15PM, full semester) Charlestown Campus



This course is an introduction to corporate finance. The objective of the course is to introduce concepts and techniques of finance. This course will provide an introduction to present value techniques, capital budgeting principles, asset valuation, the operation and efficiency of financial markets, the financial decisions of firms, and international finance. This course is open to all majors.





ACC-101-11 Principles of Accounting (Fri 9:00-11:45 AM, full semester) Charlestown Campus



ACC-101-Q1 Principles of Accounting (Tues/Thurs 8:15-11:15 AM, Feb. 2-Mar. 29) Chelsea Campus Mini-Session 1



After a brief consideration of the meaning and purpose of accounting, this course explores the basic statements of an accounting system: the balance sheet, the income statement and the statement of owner's equity. Students will examine the accounting cycle with an emphasis on the methods of accumulating and summarizing data generated by business transactions. Students will apply their manual accounting skills to an automated accounting system using general ledger software. Areas of concentration will include adjusting entries, closing process, inventory analysis, merchandising, transactions, cash control procedures, receivables, and payables.


Requirements:

  • Masters degree
  • Community College teaching experience preferred
  • Proven ability to work with diverse faculty, staff and student population


QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE INVITED TO ATTEND THE ADJUNCT ACADEMY PRIOR TO BEING ASSIGNED COURSES.


Additional Information:

Salary: $1,104.00 per credit hour
