Job Description

This is a part time position consisting of a 30.5-32.5 hour work week.

Assist the classroom teacher to include the student in all aspects of the school day
Implement academic and social programming and strategies as developed by the team
Implement accommodations and modifications as outlined on the IEP and developed by the team.
Assist in data collection
Promote social interactions throughout the day
Support students with adapted living skills such as toileting, feeding, dressing etc. as needed.
Maintain confidentiality about all personal information regarding the student, programming and family
Assist in all aspects of the school day whether or not such aspects directly pertain to the individual student
Prior experience with students with severe needs preferred
Accompany student to designated areas and classes as directed and assist student with class work.
Responsible for implementing other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or Director.
Consistent and on-time attendance is required or supervision and instruction of the students other duties as needed
Uphold the mission and values of the Boston College Campus School.


Related Work Experience
Experience working with students with multiple disabilities in a school
Ability to take direction from and work under the supervision of one or more teachers

Requirements

Formal Education
Bachelor's degree preferred
CPR and first aid training preferred or willing to be trained
