The Robsham Theater Arts Center (RTAC) Box Office serves both Student Affairs and Academic Affairs functions and is staffed by the Box Office Manager and 10-15 part time student employees. We are looking for an individual to serve as a temporary Box Office Manager, while we conduct a search for a full time replacement.
The Box Office Manager oversees the part time students and reports to the Director of the Robsham Theater Arts Center. The RTAC Box Office sells/distributes tickets for both students and the general public for both Student Affairs events as well as Academic Affairs events through the Boston College online ticketing system and the RTAC Box Office ticket window.
The Box Office Manager is responsible for operations in the RTAC Box Office which include the creation and sale of tickets for all ticketed University events (except Athletic events). The RTAC Box Office events including all events in the Robsham Theater Main Stage, the Bonn Studio Theater, 300 Hammond Pond Parkway, on-campus concerts, OSI/CAB and other student organization performances and events, Theatre Department stage productions, and Senior Week events.
The position is responsible for maintaining the Paciolan Ticketing database for RTAC as well as its web-based and mobile interfaces. The Box Office has annual sales of nearly 50,000 tickets and more than $750,000 in annual revenues.
The Box Office Manager also oversees cash, Eagle Bucks and credit card transactions and sales operations including window sales, phone sales, and online/mobile ticketing.
The Box Office Manager recruits, trains, and supervises 10-15 undergraduate student staff.
The Box Office Manager also assists with marketing and promotion of student and academic events, via maintenance of RTAC's social media, digital signage and Paciolan online ticket interface systems.
The hours for this temporary position would be for 29 hours a week:
Mondays 10-4 = 6 hours
Tuesdays 10-4 = 6 hours
Wednesdays 10-4 = 6 hours
Thursdays 10-4 = 6 hours
Fridays 11-4 = 5 hours
The rate would be $24-$28/hr.
This position requires cashier experience, supervision experience, technical mindset, familiarity with Paciolan or other ticketing software preferred.
