Job Description

Stock & Distribution Worker
Basic Function and Responsibility
Responsible for the correct receiving of all products delivered and the correct storage, placement and distribution of said products. Organizes and maintains all storage areas in a sanitary and orderly manner. Also responsible for assembly and delivery of all support service required materials as requested and general sanitation of same products and areas including but not limited to storeroom areas, loading docks and peripheral areas, interior and exterior, vehicles, laundry area, china and linen, storage areas and others as directed. Must be capable of repeated heavy lifting on a day-to-day basis (minimum 50 lbs).

Characteristic Duties
-Receives, inspects, and stores incoming products daily.

-Collects and redistributes support service products to numerous locations daily as directed.

-Provides additional resources to support service manager as needed in different facilities on demand.

-Fills, checks and stores all orders as requested via specific ordering forms on a timely and accurate basis.

-Delivers all ordered products to catering locations as applicable.

-Re-assembles and transports orders for ware washing back to appropriate location, post event as applicable.

-Must be available for a flexible schedule as dictated by the customer's needs.

-Checks merchandise delivered to be sure it conforms to type and quantities stated on invoice or delivery slips. Notifies supervisor of any discrepancies.

-Completes daily record keeping as directed.

-Assists in conducting inventories.

-Rotates stock.

-Assists in room set ups and room breakdown as directed. Must be capable of repeated heavy lifting on a day to day basis (minimum 50 lbs.).

-Performs other related duties as assigned.

-Handle all items with a focus on sanitation and safety.

Supervision Received
Reports to either the General Manager Support Service or designee.

Supervision Exercised
Assist in monitoring student employees.

Requirements

Qualifications
Education: High school diploma preferred, other relevant experience may substitute for education.

Experience: Knowledge and experience with food service supplies and equipment is desirable.

Skills: Must be able to read and write English. Must be computer literate. The ability to repetitively lift heavy loads consistently. Must have good driving record. Must possess a valid Massachusetts driver's license and be capable of driving up to a 25-foot fixed axle truck. Must be able to lift moderately heavy objects, up to 50 pounds, on an on-going basis
