Job Description

The (Sr.) Business Intelligence Analyst/Developer reports to the Associate Director of Systems Management and Data Analysis. The (Sr.) Business Intelligence Analyst/Developer will be part of the University Advancement Reporting team and work with the business application users to plan, prioritize and determine requirements for a variety of reporting and analytical projects. The business intelligence reporting projects will help drive the fundraising efforts of the University Advancement Office. The platform will be Blackbaud CRM, SQL Server, Visual Studio, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI and Oracle APEX. We are looking for a strategic Analyst/Developer who can build complex reports and dashboards that are effective and useful.

Reporting: Support the annual standard production and ad-hoc reporting needs for fundraising.Build/manage a robust reporting platform.Prioritize projects based on most effective impact in supporting fundraising goals.
Documentation:Effectively communicate detailed work and information to others.Recommend solutions that deliver value to University Advancement.Analyze and manage documentation of business processes, systems and projects.
Testing:Manage project development testing plans to ensure data quality and integrity.

Title and salary commensurate with relevant experience based on the following titles and hiring ranges:
Senior Level: $72,600 - $90,750
Non-Senior Level: $62,650 - $78,300

Requirements

Experience creating reports in a higher education Advancement office is a must. Blackbaud CRM experience preferred. Must have advanced knowledge of SQL and BI development tools, preferably using SQL Server Reporting Services

This position requires a Bachelor's degree
Senior Level requires a minimum of 5 years of report writing experience, preferably in an institution of higher education and in a campaign environment.

Non-Senior Level requires a minimum of 1 year of report writing experience, preferably in an institution of higher education and in a campaign environment.

The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented self-starter with strong troubleshooting skills. Must have expert knowledge of development and alumni transactional systems; and broad knowledge of industry best practices in data reporting and data modeling. Ensures that business functional requirements are correct and according to established IT standards. Collaborates with team to deliver high quality and cost-effective business intelligence solutions. Also, must have strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, a respect for the confidentiality of donor records, and a customer service focus. To be successful, must be able to balance priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced office environment.
