Job Summary
The University of Michigan Medical School, Department of Urology, Dow Division of Health Services Research is seeking a Research Associate to help facilitate and accelerate cutting edge research. The Research Associate will collaborate with faculty members, biostatisticians, project managers, and trainees from the Division and the Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation on catalyzing, coordinating, and managing research projects. This includes study coordination, manuscript development, and grant writing. The Research Associate will play a key role in redesigning and implementing new research processes for the Division.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Plan, organize, and assist with daily needs relating to grant and manuscript writing and development.

Assemble key components of scientific grants and write related progress reports.

Coordinate research activities across faculty investigators and research staff.

In collaboration with research staff, help develop and oversee team's social media, policy impact, and communication strategy.

Create and manage project management systems and processes to track team progress.

Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's degree in health sciences, communications, business, or a relevant field. Excellent writing skills. The ability to juggle competing priorities. The ability to collaborate with non-native speakers of English, and to meet tight deadlines. The ability to work independently, demonstrate outstanding organizational and technical skills, and exercise judgement to meet the unique needs of each research project.

Desired Qualifications*
Familiarity with health policy research and national health policy. A commitment to contributing to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment for all members of our community.

Background Screening
