Job Description:
Develop, implement and manage the overall day-to-day operations of the Massasoit Track & Field program, including teaching skills and strategies for specific events during practice and competition.

Specific job responsibilities include:
Oversee and coordinate the day to day operations of the track & field team, including teaching skills and athletically preparing team for competition.
Develop and implement a comprehensive recruiting plan to build a highly competitive team.
Create a positive and healthy team culture that encourages learning, development and sportsmanship.
Accompany the team for all meets and practices.
Hire, supervise and evaluate assistant coaches.
Register all athletes for competition and assist with scheduling meets.
Perform other related duties as assigned.


Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred. Will consider persons with extensive experience coaching track and field, preferably at the college level.
Collegiate coaching and/or playing experience required.
Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences (i.e., students, parents, local media, faculty, staff, alumni, administration and community).
Ability to work evening, weekends, and holidays as playing and practice season schedule dictates.
Valid U.S. driver's license.


Additional Information:
Position Type: Part time
Salary: $3,000.00 - $4,500.00 per year
