Detailed Description:
The Instructional Designer (ID) is responsible for curriculum design, development, implementation and maintenance of online and hybrid courses for the University of San Diego. The ID will collaborate with faculty and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other key stakeholders (internal and external) to create high quality, academically rigorous, and engaging online courses across multi-discipline. ID's will utilize expertise in Universal Design for Learning, adult learning theory, and online pedagogy to develop curriculum for courses and program level alignment and with adherence to USD's standards of quality. In addition, ID's will conduct thorough reviews of academic courses and providing evidence-based recommendations in consultation with academic leads. ID's will demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods, technologies and standards of practice for designing meaningful learning experiences (i.e. lectures, interactions/activities, assessments, etc).They will utilize an iterative process and receive general instructions and guidance in an open and collegial manner. ID will work collaboratively with internal teams and cross-functional departments to ensure high-quality student-centered learning.

Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends in order to meet project deadlines. Must be able to work with all required technologies and tools.
