Job Summary/Basic Function:
PRIMARY DAILY RESPONSIBILITY:
Ensures that undergraduate students are able to graduate and upkeeps the Degree Audit system.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The graduation coordinator for undergraduate students must ensure that all prospective graduates of undergraduate degrees meet the qualifications to be eligible to graduate. Additionally, the graduate coordinator for undergraduate students must maintain the Degree Audit system for undergraduate degree plans.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Ensure that all degree plans received from departments meet the qualifications for graduation and collaborate with departments if there are any issues. Update Degree Audit for prospective graduates. Process graduation applications for undergraduate students, both those completed online and on paper. Process course substitutions for core classes. Update the Degree Audit system to ensure that degree plans are accurate and up-to-date. Provide training on course substitutions in Degree Audit for other departments. Ensure accuracy of information in the commencement program, on undergraduate diplomas, and for graduation-related information in Banner. Produce diplomas to be disseminated at graduation, mailed out after graduation, or produced throughout the year as replacements or additional diplomas. Determine whether students have earned academic honors and place such distinctions on diplomas. Identify and track students who do not meet the qualifications to graduate. Answer student questions related to graduation, Degree Audit, and other topics over the phone, via email, and in person. Prepare Argos reports concerning prospective graduates to be provided to departments and for the commencement program. Prepare walking cards for students who will or may attend the commencement program. Track those students who defer walking at commencement and create walking cards for them at the appropriate time. Determine whether students who applied for tuition reimbursement meet the qualifications for this benefit. Complete special projects for the Records Department as requested.

Minimum Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School degree, or equivalent required.
Should have significant experience with data entry, maintaining and outputting data and be able to exercise individual initiative and judgment. Experience working with student information systems in a higher education setting a plus. Ability to work additional time occasionally and work Saturday graduations is a requirement and any registration time period. Official transcripts are required at the time of employment if specified on application and/or resume.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates degree or higher preferred.
