Job Description

The Energy Manager reports to the Assistant Director, Engineering Services within the Engineering & Energy Management Department. The Energy Manager will provide information and advice to the Assistant Director as well as other interested administrators on all matters pertaining to the utility budget and water and energy consumption. The successful candidate will also recommend which conservation programs and infrastructure improvements will be implemented at BC and will be responsible for tracking the effectiveness of energy conservation measures.

Creative problem solving and decision making with superior analytical abilities is needed to report and manipulate utility data and to identify and advocate for opportunities for both conservation and investment in infrastructure in order to make the campus more energy and water efficient. The successful individual must work well in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $87,900 to $109,900; salary commensurate with relevant experience.

Requirements

A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (mechanical or electrical), Accounting or Finance and a minimum of five years experience as a Energy Manager in the energy and/or facilities industry is preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered. Successful candidates must possess excellent financial, analytical and computer skills including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Ability to create and maintain databases is a plus. A valid driver's license is required.
Energy Manager Certification is preferred or the successful candidate must be willing to attain certification within one year of employment.
