Job Description
Responsible for coordinating all aspects of volunteer activities including developing new and imaginative fundraising initiatives with Campus School Volunteers of Boston College (CSVBC) a sanctioned club of over 350 students at Boston College. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Coordination of all volunteer members within the program, particularly the CSVBC to develop new and imaginative fundraising activities and supporting them in their endeavors.
Raise awareness of the school and its work at both a local and national level in collaboration with the Administrative Team
Assist the CSVBC in organizing all special events, buddies, literacy program/literacy buddies, Broom Hockey, half marathon, Golf tournament, and holiday events.
Responsible for coordinating volunteer retreat during the Fall semester
Coordinate orientation for all chairpersons and members of the CSVBC as well as community volunteer members
Coordination of relationships with university clubs, varsity teams, high school senior service projects, spring and summer volunteer experiences in collaboration with Administrative Team
Maintain pertinent digital records on all CSVBC activity and all other volunteer programs
Consults with Administrative Team as well as Campus School teachers to customize programs/needs for each student
Works with Administrative Team to serve as liaison between the Campus School and the greater Boston College Community
Support undergraduate student/personal development by mentoring volunteers towards the University mission of men and women for others
Supports the mission of the Boston College Campus School
This is a 23 hour a week position. Competitive salary commensurate with relevant experience.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred. 3 - 5 years of experience working in financial development.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, ability to multitask. Technologically savvy as well.
