Job Summary
The Plasmadynamics and Electric Propulsion Laboratory (PEPL) in the Aerospace Engineering Department at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor invites applicants for a 6 month term-limited Associate Research Engineer position. The research engineer will -
  • Install and maintain an experimental testbed for electrospray thruster testing. Implement diagnostics, conduct experimental campaigns, and synthesize data.
  • Assist head research engineer with high-vacuum facility upgrades and maintenance.
  • Support facility monitoring and maintenance during extended Hall thruster testing.

Required Qualifications*
Minimum of masters degree in aerospace engineering or similar field. Experience in high vacuum systems for electric propulsion testing. Experience in electrospray thrusters.
