Assistant Professor - Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science - College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (6540)

Position Description Summary:
The Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science is seeking applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in statistics, data science, or actuarial science. The Department will also strongly consider applicants who have an interest in transforming undergraduate programs to better serve students of diverse backgrounds. Position Summary and Duties:Successful candidates are expected to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and should have a strong potential for generating external funding for their research program.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum Required Qualifications:

PhD in Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field;
Experience teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Additional Requirements:

Demonstrated ability to develop a highly successful independent research program;
Strong potential for generating external funding for their research program;
Demonstrated potential for excellence in research and teaching are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience teaching and mentoring students of diverse backgrounds is highly preferred.
