Job Description

Working as a member of the management team, the Assistant Manager for Dining Services is responsible for coordinating the daily activities of a dining service facility or a catered event. Responsibilities include hiring, supervising, training and scheduling employees and students; monitoring activity and insuring proper staffing; handling daily cash sales reports; ensuring high quality food presentation, sanitation, and customer satisfaction; proactively responding to inquiries and needs of employees and customers; supervising and participating in catered events; and generating various computerized reports.

Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $46,550 to $58,200; salary commensurate with relevant experience.

Requirements

Associates degree required, Bachelor's degree is preferred; 3 to 5 years food and beverage experience in progressively responsible positions; exceptional knowledge of food service procedures and practices

Supervisory experience with an ability to motivate

Excellent communication, interpersonal and human relations skills with sensitivity to a diverse population

Ability to work effectively with students, faculty and staff clienteles in a high volume, fast paced environment

Goal-oriented individual with high quality standards and excellent customer service skills; and availability to work flexible work shifts.

Bilingual English / Spanish skills are helpful and computer literacy is desirable.
