Job Summary/Basic Function:
Job Summary: The Administrative Associate Sr. is a full-time staff position responsible for administrative tasks and overseeing the daily functions of the Undergraduate Advising Center. This position reports to the Director of the Undergraduate Advising Center (UAC) and works collaboratively with UAC staff to meet the advising needs of Lamar University students. The Administrative Associate Sr. must be able to deal professionally and effectively with students, faculty, staff and the public.

High school diploma or GED.
Over 3 years of experience as administrative support staff.
Attention to detail and ability to organize and handle many tasks simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle confidential matters professionally.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including active listening and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
Proficient in the use of office computers and related software (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook) with the ability to learn new software.
Preferred Qualifications:

Associates Degree or higher.
Experience working in higher education and/or with student support.
Knowledge of student information systems such as Banner.
