Job Summary:

This position reports to the Executive Director of Central Development and supervises the service units in Central Development including, research and prospect management, information systems (Advance), gift acceptance, processing and administration. Provides oversight of gift accounting, recording and receipting. Prepares various giving reports. Establishes policies and procedures in regard to gift acceptance functions within UA including the recording and receipting of donors, policies and regulatory adherence, and event administration. Works with other members of the Advancement team responsible for providing gift and compliance reports to the Vice President and the Chancellor's Office. Provides oversight of the research and prospect management area which includes proactive and reactive research on individuals, corporations, and foundations. Responsible for the information services area of Advancement with duties that include development, implementation, and maintenance of strategies to enhance the quality of data. Develops policies to ensure accurate data and reports. Ensures that requested reports/queries are generated accurately and in a timely manner. Provides oversight of the advancement information services to ensure IT resources and systems are being leveraged for maximum effectiveness to meet organizational goals. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college of university and a minimum of five years of experience in budget management, accounting, and/or operations in a complex organization. Familiarity with the multi-faceted aspects of financial management in a not-for-profit organization with endowed funds. Familiarity with advancement research and prospect management. Possession of significant supervision and management experience, as well as substantial experience with relational databases and leveraging IT resources to advance organizational goals. Possession of superior verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate and interface with donors, board members, and outside professional vendors. Proficiency in the use of general office equipment and Windows and Mac OS-based personal computers. Proficiency in trust accounting and reporting.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU.
