Project Manager, Strategic Content


The University of Notre Dame (ND.jobs) is accepting applications for a Project Manager, Strategic Content.

Applications will be accepted until 5/31/2017.

The Project Manager, Strategic Content will manage the execution plan for the work of the University's central brand journalism and storytelling unit charged with enhancing the University's reputation in key topical areas. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Content, the Project Manager will create and maintain a comprehensive editorial calendar that includes a list of stories and other content for publishing on ND.edu and other channels managed by the Office of Public Affairs and Communications (OPAC). S/he will create and oversee the production schedule for the unit's work, interfacing heavily with colleagues in the Marketing Communications department and other units within OPAC and across campus to ensure content is being developed in accordance with editorial standards and deadlines. Finally, the Project Manager will assist in the production of content as needed.

Organizing Unit Work: Developing list of projects for the unit and overseeing the plan to execute them, coordinating with Marketing Communications and other units to meet established deadlines.

Channel Management: Collaborating with the Director of Strategic Content and other channel managers, creating the when and where for content publishing.

Assist in content creation: Carry out other various assigned duties related to the production of Strategic Content stories. (Headline writing, high-level analytics, design input or execution, and more.)

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree 3 to 4 years experience 1. Advanced organizational and problem-solving skills.
2. Experience meeting tight deadlines.
3. Experience working in a collaborative environment.
4. A familiarity with multiple types of communications vehicles and platforms. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of emerging journalistic techniques and platforms.
